Special Education Advocacy and Training

My Story

Holly Giglio.jpg

My name is Holly Giglio, owner and founder of A+ Collaborations, LLC.

I provide Special Education advocacy and training designed to help parents and schools meet the needs of students receiving special education services and 504 accommodations.

I am a wife and a mother of two adult children.  I am a born and raised Texan, but I have lived in several other states across the U.S. including Alabama, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Idaho.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, camping, volunteering, reading and sipping sweet tea on my front porch swing.  During football season you will find me in front of the TV watching Alabama football.  Roll Tide!

Although I have had many jobs over the years, I have spent the last 22 years navigating services for my son Jake, who was born with Down syndrome and who has regressive autism.   The past 11 years I have spent extensive time helping others navigate their special education journey.

My passion for advocacy comes from our personal experiences trying to get appropriate services for our son.  I have learned that the best way forward is through true collaboration from all parties.  That being said, I am a redhead.  Although the color may be fading, the attitude and determination remains and I am always up for a challenge!

I earned my certificate in Special Education Advocacy in January, 2021 from William & Mary Law School.

I believe all students deserve to feel safe, engaged, included and worthy of success.  I believe this can only be accomplished through high expectations, appropriate supports, and honest collaborations.
